- On a later day, after taking medication, the same woman is better dressed and is able to respond with “uh huh” to a question. When the interviewer moves the woman’s arm, she exhibits stiffness, resisting against movement both for lifting and for lowering her arm. She is able to hold her arm where it was positioned but not move on her own from either the lifted or the lowered position. She still does not make eye contact.
