- A young man demonstrates negative symptoms of a very flat affect and very restrictive movement. He also demonstrates a positive symptom of having thought-blocking as well as the delusion that a god with strong powers is “stealing” his thoughts, thought withdrawal. Having both positive and negative symptoms qualify him for a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
