An English issue of the 1727 edition in the British Museum has the statement of responsibility "by P.L. Gent" and a dedication signed Peter Longueville in which the writer claims the authorship of the work. The preface to this issue is also signed P.L. and denounces the bookseller for having substituted Edward Dorrington's name for his own. See A.
