Layout: Written in 4 columns of 21 lines on the first membrane and 21 lines on the remaining three membranes; frame ruled (columns) in drypoint. The passage detailing the hanging of the ten sons of Haman (Esther, IX:7-9; end of membrane 3) written in an entire column, with names at right column only (this column in 11 lines, with each script line occupying two ruled lines).
Script: Written in a Sephardic-Turkish safrut (ritual script required for writing a Torah scroll or scrolls of scripture); typical of later Turkish safrut, letters written with tagin (crowns above certain letters). Corrections in a later hand (membrane 3).
Origin: Written in Turkey during the 19th century.
Scroll supported by an olive wood roller; opening tapered to a thin parchment fastening strip.
