Notes:
"The prospectuses and specimen leaves herein are limited to only those books published by Bird & Bull Press from 1958 to the present date, and insofar as such material is available. Many of the earliest items have long since been dispersed or included in the portfolios which accompanied the three bibliographies I have published. But I had kept small hoards of some of the earlier material and these, combined with larger amounts of later pieces, will be found here. The varying quantities, disparate sizes and thicknesses present a challenge in assembling and binding. There are no two copies alike so each must be separately measured and appropriate shims inserted in the spine to make a proper binding. The most limited items have been combined into lots of 100 and will be located as close as possible to their descriptive listings. In some cases identifying the book from which a given leaf has been taken may require a little study."--Foreword.
"For the 50th anniversary of Bird & Bull Press I have made 100 bound collections of all the prospectuses and leaves in my possession"--Prospectus.
"100 copies printed on Zerkall mouldmade paper at Bird & Bull Press in October, 2008. The book was composed in Dante. Types by Michael and Winifred Bixler and bound at the Campbell-Logan Bindery. No. [blank]"--Colophon. Note: the book was printed at the latest in May 2008.
