- This is the second book by the Sala negra de El Faro team, and can also be considered the second part of the Black Chronicles. The violence investigation department of the most prestigious Latin American digital newspaper was created in 2011 with one purpose : understand the violence in the North triangle of Central America, one of the areas with the most homicides on the planet. What is the Mara Salvatrucha 13? What are those who leave the region in caravans or on their own fleeing from? Are the authorities doing anything about the daily brutality that thousands are suffering from? Questions like these find answers in the chronicles of this book. To understand the aforementioned topics, there are chronicles investigated in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, the United States, Italy, and Spain in this volume, written by five journalists who have been staring into this abyss for the last eight years.
