- "The catalogue of books occupies three of the four columns on the first page; they are all in English, and almost all of them are medical. The prices range from 180 rupees for a run of the 'Edinburgh Review' to one rupee for 'Fothergill on the suspension of vital action'. At the end of the list the bookseller ends with a note: 'N.B. The Books will not be sold at lower prices, than those affixed to them.' The remainder of the newspaper is mainly comprised of advertisements with the news items, partly printed in the two Indian languages, confined to the last page."--Vendor's description.
