- Summary:
- "150 Hours" was a programme devised by Italian labour unions, with the support of government, universities, and other social and political agencies, that gave workers the opportunity to obtain 150 hours of free higher education. Scholars, activists and workers bonded together to create new and experimental courses that would help workers learn about all kinds of fields, from mathematics, philosophy, literature to politics and finance. Adriana Monti's film looks at the lives of working women in Milan who had for the first time completed courses in higher education. She chronicles the women's reactions and their sense of liberation after having had access to education that was normally restricted to persons of higher economic and social classes.
