In a notice on the verso of the title page, Leonard Deming informs the public that he may now be found at numbers 1, south side of Faneuil Hall. Deming operated from Faneuil Hall between 1828 and 1831.

"Containing a true account of his execution, and wonderful escape therefrom; also, his captivity and treatment by the Spaniards; the barbarous cruelties and unparelled sufferings which he endured while a prisoner among the pirates; together, with other hardships which he suffered while on board a Spanish galley ship.
