- "The warden of the state prison, on whom by the law of the legislature of the 15th of February 1826, devolved the duty of superintending the erection of a new prison "within the limits of the state prison yard," with due deference deems it to be proper, and conformable to custom, on the completion of such duty, to announce the same, and report thereon to the competent authority, and respectfully reports as follows."
