First annual report of the inspectors of the Albany County Penitentiary : with the reports of the superintendent, physician and chaplain, made to the board of supervisors of the county of Albany and the mayor and recorder of the city of Albany, in joint meeting assembled, December 27th 1849 : including an account of the origin and history of the penitentiary, the rules and regulations established for its government, a description of the buildings, accompanied by plans and diagrams thereof, and other matter connected with the enterprise / compiled, at the request of the authorities, by the commissioners for building the penitentiarym from the reports made by them at various times during the progress of the work.
