Summary:
-- Contraportada.
"In The Puppeteer the plot is organized like a puzzle and the pieces are delivered "didactically" by this voice which is, in turn, a guide. The novel wants to show the ABC of the structure, reveal a leisure and expose that it is not an indescribable something "inspired by the muses", but rather a series of steps that go from observing reality to ordering it properly, always manipulating her It is intended to show how a narrative can be structured around some facts that leads us to them, although this narrative is sustained and crossed by the writer's imagination. In this demystification of "leisure", the retired professor-narrator attacks current readings and criticisms in those years, which --in the author's opinion-- turned literature into a laboratory object. From the claim of his total autonomy, Álvarez Gardeazábalarms the destinies of his protagonists in a possible world in which it does not matter how things happened or what were the lanes along which they developed, but how the narrator decides what could happen and why. paths might have traveled.' -- Back cvoer.
