- Summary:
- Yemenite 19th century copy of Maimonides' Sirāj to Ḳodashim (Sirāj, or Perush ha-Mishnah in Hebrew); in this manuscript, tractate Zevaḥim is bound at the end, surviving until the end of chapter 8; the manuscript begins with tractates Ḥulin (and Menaḥot is missing in entirety), and Bekhorot has incomplete folios (f. 37v, ending in-text of chapter 4; f. 38r-40v is a fragment of chapter 6). Written in a Yemenite semicursive script, possibly in two scribal hands (and Zevaḥim's script style matches that of Ḥulin, as well as paper size); captions written in a Yemenite square script (overlined and traced with blue ink on certain titles); columns written around space for illustrations to be drawn in or laid (f. 51v-52r); lines of pen test ("שיטה זו לכתבה אחרי השניה וכאן ... אנסה דיו..." on f. 38r); ink spills; written on laid paper, and final folio has a watermark in Arabic letters; rebound in modern red buckram.
