Originally composed for Michala Petri by the Carnegie Hall Corporation, in honour of Carnegie Hall's Centennial Season. Original version premiered in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, New York City, on Friday 15th March 1991.
Revised version premiered by John Turner and the Camerata Ensemble on 16th April 2004 in St. John's Smith Square London (and recorded by the same artists on Naxos).
