Bamio of origin = Banco-Banco. First two examples for fiesta. Third example for Christmas. Bass and side drum. 3 flutes, 2 piccolos (all bamboo transverse). Leader of group - Juan Palay. Flute=tipano; piccolo=bulo; tagalog = buho; side drum = tambur (calf skin heads or rido blante); bass drum = bumbo. Song called cancion. Ati-ati [Negrito, Negrito (acc. to U. Cadar)] is derived from word Innocent(e), group is called ati-ati. Normally they perform at fiestas, Christmas, New Year, etc. Often door-to-door. Translator: Mr. Castillo, Asst. Pal agent, Ppr. Palawan Dominador.
