Description: Research team used this day to visit all places and locations where activities were scheduled to take place on Kojo Day (January 6, the day of the festival)001 - Large mango tree with rectangular sign attached to it indicating "Kindah Day: We Are Family." Located about two miles from town, the tree is where musicking will take place on Kojo Day. The general area is called Kindah. 002-004 - Two young girls standing near tree005 - Three young girls and one adult male (our guide) conversing with Richmond (left) and Merrill-Mirsky and her daughter (Maya) near tree. 006 - Two young girls standing in area near tree007 - Plant life on outskirts of town008 - Older woman (perhaps grandmother) sitting with grandchild inside the front door of her home009 - Kojo Monument (park in Accompong built to honor Kojo and commemorate Kojo Day); large sign has been erected in park indicating "In Memory of Kojo" 010-013 - Kojo Monument (with young children) 014 -DjeDje (standing at a location in town)015 - Youth playing volley ball in the yard of home where we stayed018 - Materials (wooden objects and gourds/calabashes) used to construct instruments identified with Accompong Maroons019-021 - George Sylvester Huggins (instrument maker) in the process of making instruments022-025 - Youth and adults (females and males) parading through town during the day with two males playing drums 031 - Merry-making (drinking and dancing) during the evening at the end of the parade.
