- Description: Scope/Content: Ile-Ife (A - Side 2): Olukure - Obameri Festival; singing and prayers, with agogo and trumpet (epe / ipe); side 2-begins with Epe demonstration; side 2 recorded behind Oni's palace, Olukure and celebrants inside an enclosure. Description: One informant on the recording notes that the worshippers have been reciting the names of the ancestors descended from Oduduwa, the first king of Ife, in a spot behind the Oni's palace, which is believed to be where the first book [of Ifa] was brought from heaven with Oduduwa. Notes: Aside from opening, much of this recording is ambient, or conversation, as Thieme is waiting for the celebrants to go and come back. Output same as other Ife items.
