- Tape was stored in a cold vault at SRLF before digitizing. The first file is the tape played tails out and reversed digitally. During this recording, the bulk of the oxide stuck to the back side. The second file is the tape played heads out and twisted so the tape heads are reading the back side. This produced usable results for the first 13'30" of the tape. After that there were many dropouts and the high end started disappearing. Conserv. note: Digitized 2013-10-24 at 24bit/96khz. Burned to MAM DVD-R F1308. Staff note: sticky shed syndrome (SSS) ; magnetic coating shedding ; interlayer adhesion ; needs expert conservation.
