- Cutti family (surname derived from Zacutti, related to the Sephardic family named Zacuto (Hebrew: זכות) of Castile); perhaps Giuseppe Vita and family lived in Venice.
- Summary:
- This is a manuscript containing the text of epitaphs of the Cutti family, laid out in the columns as those on the gravestones. Each side begins with מצ"ק (acronym of מצבת קודש), beginning with Giuseppe Vita (Yosef Ḥayim) Cutti, Friday 10 Kislev (25 November) 1803, followed by his widow, Regina (Malkah) Cutti, 2 Av (17 July) 1825 (recto); Aron Benedetto (Aharon Barukh) Cutti, 2 Adar (11 March) 1826, Emmanuele, son of Giuseppe Vita Cutti, 10 Ḥeshṿan (27 October) 1830, and Samson (Shimshon) Padovani, 28 Ṭevet (29 January) 1835 (verso). Written in an Italian square Hebrew script, with an Italian cursive script (for the Hebrew and Italian parts of the epitaphs); originally a bifolium in a codex, now pressed flat.
