In original publisher's binding: marbled paper over boards with title stamped in gilt on spine.
On spine: 31, indicating this is volume 31 in the Child's Cabinet Library, which was apparently first advertised in the American Sunday-School Union's Catalogue of books and other publications, numbers 31, Jan. 1847, page 5. The American Sunday-School Union was located at 146 Chestnut St., Philadelphia from 1827 to 1853; compare AAS 19th century American children's book trade directory.
