Summary:
Document of purchase of houses within a (paved, or cobbled) courtyard in Buqeiʻa [Pekiʻin], Israel, by Ḥayim ʻEzra, son of Avraham Ha-kohen Doṿekh with financing and partnership with Mosheh Tsabboun, whom were to live in the enclosed courtyard. Four tuǧra signatures: Ḥayim ben Daṿid Siṭhon (1837?-1907, of Tiberias, who traveled to Buqeiʻa and Shefarʻam), Avraham ibn Susan (originally of Fés, Morocco), Avraham and ʻEzra Ha-kohen Doṿekh (originally of Aleppo, Syria), and Mosheh Tsabboun (1806-1888; originally of Oran, Algeria, who built a library in Buqeiʻa). Earlier in 1873 the synagogue in Buqeiʻa was completed and consecrated (today known as the Old Synagogue of Pekiʻin; 30 Nisan 5633, or 27 April 1873).
