Summary:
The jacket illustration is a household register affidavit issued in 1370, the first year of the Ming household census. It identifies the head of the household as Wang Jifo, a resident of district 10 west in Qimen county in Huizhou prefecture. The household consists of five persons: Wang, his wife, and son, and also his older brother and sister-in-law.
