It was on the occasion of the invitation by Irina KATAEVA, internationally renowned outstanding pianist and artistic director of the Rencontres Musicales de Jaugette for her 2018 festival, that I wrote this short piece for percussion and fixed sounds. "Voiles" evoke both movement and travel, such as these caravels going to the unknown, that these thin and transparent fabrics that filter the light, protect and hide, hide from view and suggest dreams and passions. Thierry MIROGLIO, percussionist of great talent, will perform the piece in world premiere at the Rencontres Musicales de Jaugette on July 21, 2018. François Bousch
