Robotic arms that makes music in a chapel, concerts from the windows of a castle, an immersive sound installation, a sound dovecote, a fantastic world of sound precedes and awaits you. This work created within "Le Balcon" for the "Le Banquet Sismique" festival, unfolds around the installation "Etudes pour théâtre acoustique" which proposes a journey through immersive sound in imaginary "places-music" ; an exploration of the boundaries between the real and the musical, reality and fantasy. We explore places, but also the past time in the search for real or imagined memories. "Etudes pour théâtre acoustique" was co-written with Augustin Muller. Benjamin Lazar and Laure Gauthier read texts. Commanderie 2019 proposes an extension in the space of the expressivity of the places' memory. It also questions the relationship between the productive and the aesthetic and challenges our sensations of time by the superposition of the old and the contemporary. I imagine this network of semi-autonomous sound objects "like souls, ready to remind us, waiting and hoping for their moment, amid the ruins of all the rest" (Proust). They wake up, send us their message, a just composed sound or a musical memory of previous centuries transformed, then go back to sleep.
