Notes:
' Echoes of home(I)' is a series of 'Take me home for a large ensemble', which is inspired by my own experience of a coup on July. 15th., 2016 in Turkey. This tragic event makes me rethink of all the victims of terror attack and traumatism, which causes mental and physical illness. Terrorism related violence has been a big issue around the world, and I feel there is no comfort zone. It reflects on where real home is, and I've been questioning about what home means to me and people while flash- back of that day in Turkey. I notice that human natures desire earnestly for freedom from danger. At the same time, we have the right to express our feelings and thoughts of oppressions in many ways. I put 'home' as a symbol of destination of our lives. 'Home', may speak shelter, comfort or an eternal place where the spirit stays, has given meaningful time for me, and I like to keep expressing the thing everyone has to be given. This piece tells for the victims hearts and pains, and divides into three sections, which named 'being taken, bemoan, and don't cry, home is closer', contain heavy emotions toward seeking an eventual place like home.
