- Precipitate-Reciperated explores the extended techniques of the flute, especially in combinationwith performer's voice. Various voice manipulations, id est singing, humming, whispering, growlingare part of the core material of the work. They add a distortive counterpart to the pure sound of the flute, as well as (often) an exaggerated amount of breath into the flute. Another important element in the work is tension. It is fueled by the succint rhythmic drive, percussiveness of the attacks and extremity in dynamic levels. The piece strives to create a tense atmospherewhere the edge of audibility and inaudibily are at times blurred. There are also moments of internal playing that serve as "connectors" between these (audible-inaudible) parts. In this piece there are no rests---all must be executed with a sense of tension in order to continue the musical unfolding.
