- Equilíbrio (Equilibrium) is a work for quintet and electronics in which I searched for a direct, focused and simple musical discourse. This involved a restriction of elaborative impulses so that a more concentrated, less dispersed music could be created. To achieve this, compositional technique relied on simpler, more transparent procedures. Melody and harmony are paramount, while form is approached quite simply. Wiping out the superfluous, I tried to reach equilibrium.
