Notes:
Written for Bart de Vrees, dedicated to Geert GlasThe rhythms in this piece are based on the rhythms you hear when a juggler is practising. Too much rhythmical irregularity increases the chance the juggler stops juggling. In the piece the percussionist juggles with the juggling rhythms. 'Jongleren' means 'juggling' in Dutch. 'Jong leren' means 'learning at a young age' in Dutch. The piece is written for a small, 'portable' percussion set-up:1 not too small slit drum, a small paper sack and 3 small instruments: 1 wood, 1 metal, 1 skin
