- The composition is intended to capture personal reflections which I associate with winter. So it is not strictly illustrative music. It is rather a picture of the thoughts provoked by the cycle of the year. While writing this piece, I saw the whiteness of snow sparkling in the sun; its only apparent uniformity, steadiness and stillness. After all, it is enough to change the angle of view a little, and the constellation of light flashes and reflections changes like in a kaleidoscope. What life fills space when a gust of wind runs across the surface of the frozen snow! This multi-coloured white, snow danced with sparks, and the blooming life in apparent stagnation became an inspiration. The piece was in the final round of Musica Nova International Computer Music Competition in Prague, Czech Republic.
