Commissioned by Forum Culturel du Blanc-Mesnil (France). "Il tunnel dell'Amore " is the Italian translation of "The tunnel of Love", which is a type of dark ride commonly found at carnivals and amusement parks in the early 20th century. In its earliest incarnations, riders were taken by two-passenger boats through dark passages. There were two major themes: a relaxing romantic ride and an experience of horror as the ghost train or haunted houses that scared the passengers. For me, "The tunnel of Love" here is not just an adventure game played in the physical dimension, it can also be seen as a metaphor for an important spiritual and psychological experience. Therefore , this piece is an expression of intense struggle between transcendental consciousness and ordinary mundane pursuit, spiritual enlightenment and mental illusion, unconditional Love and psychological conditioning , self-surrender and selfish interest .
