The study years 1998 - 2001 was the starting-point of something new. I received classes in composition on Gotland, a island south of Sweden. During these years I felt the need to create an aesthetics which would liberate me from the frustration which increases when the composer has completed a work and prepares himself for a new challenge. It was not only due to the psychologic aspect, though I wanted to explore as well new stimulating composition techniques in order to improve a personal style. More can be read about the aesthetics which has begun to flourish in work such as Light and Shadows and in my analytic works. Its aesthetic approach focuses on surveying and facilitate the composition process. It does not focus upon musical hierarchic classical terms - such as music divided into individual solo parts and so fourth - it focuses rather on the orchestra as a collective group, where each musicians value is equal and where as the general auditive result plays the most important roll. www.trillofigueroa.com
