Notes:
~sonic fabric~, a piece for chamber ensemble (flute, accordion, violin, cello and percussion), creates a delicate fabric of sound that covers the audience, enhancing the sensation of tactility in sound. The material in the foreground is rough and erratic but opaque with a smooth silky layer hidden in the background. This web of material combines to create an intricate tissue. It contains threads running through the piece that hold the material together. Glissandi, beatings, and harmonies create shapes, patterns, as well as connections inside the fabric. This piece is loosely inspired by the legend of Aquelarre and the idea of disorienting the listener with a sensation of sounds, creating a quasi spiritual experience.
