- *Pontos e Linhas is a virtuosity challenge for the saxophone player. It is a sound ritual that deals with the possibility of transmutation of small lines, gestures and timbers throughout along the piece. In this sense, the percussion is indispensable for two reasons. It creates independent rhythmic layers and punctuates small timber distortions which cross the saxophone lines.* Pontos e Linhas was originally written for oboe and percussion in 2009 and transcribed for soprano saxophone by author in 2013.
