Notes:
In US it is frequent to say "Nite nite" to kids, when it comes the time to go to bed. Having this become a frequent experience in my recent life, it occurred to me the impression that the lulling of babies is something simple but at the same time rich and fascinating; There is a whole soundscape, made of rhythmical pattern, crisp sounds, and so on, that is very specific of that experience and contribute to create a world between wake and dream that could be a fascination for adults too. Being aware of not being of course the first one to re-discover this dimension as an adult, I offered my own: thus the "nite" of kids becomes our "night", and the lulling becomes enhanced with the drama, the challenges and the ambiguities of the adult life.
