Notes:
By Fool's Luck and Wise Design is a mixed media composition that was composed in 2013-2014 for soprano saxophone and prerecorded electronic sounds. The digital sounds were generated with REplayPLAYer_4.0 and processed with GRM Tools. The score utilized both proportional and graphic notational systems, aleatory techniques as well as theatrical elements. It was intended as a very intense, virtuosically-demanding and hyperdramatic work. In early 2015, Dr. Drew Whiting premiered this work during the North American Saxophone Alliance Region 5 Conference at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb followed by performances at the Illinois State University at Normal and the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. He presently serves as a lecturer in the School of Music at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. The duration is 11:19
