- Notes:
- This piece was composed 1998 for the outstanding young ensemble Est!Est!!Est!!! from Saarbruecken, Germany. LUMPENGALERIE is written for flute(also piccolo), clarinet in Bb (also bass clarinet in the last part, sounding octave+second lower!), violin, violoncello, piano, percussion (with some silly instruments from the "street" or "kindergarden"). LUMPENGALERIE is a kind of comment on street music. Basically it is invented by improvisation on a keyboard, then rewritten to fit the actually chosen instruments. LUMPENGALERIE is seemingly very densely written, but full of "trash". The percussion should mostly play as soft as possible, except in the solo passages, to let the other players come through.
