- "Contour-ism" is one of the series as "Duo" between the pianoand other instruments. However, for the first time in this "IV" I wrote it for three instruments. The idea of "Duo" between the pianoand other instrument(s) is identical to other pieces of the same series. In order to produce the quarter-note as accurate as possible, the fluteshifts the tuning with the length of the pipe, and the violinis tuned to all irregular quarter-note of all four strings (scordatura). By doing like this, this music drifts between 12 equal temperament and quarter-tone, and spins out the "contour" of distorted sound tracing the outline.
