- Notes:
- D'après Couperin is a homage to Couperin's Leçons de Ténèbres, whose composition is dense, meditative and luminous or dark alternately. It was commissioned and premiered by the Cairn Ensemble, in a concert entitled Eloge de l'Ombre. This work belongs to a collection of studies which are all short pieces for various chamber ensembles - studies in character, composition and listening, whose challenge lies at least as much in the musical quality necessary for their interpretation as in their more or less difficult execution.
