Notes:
Work for such an unusual instrumentation as it is in A.C.E. I wrote at first time. That's why when I was starting to work, I was a little worrying, it seemed to me that it is inexplicable miracle for me, or a complex science. Because such instrumentation for me is like a kind of chemical formula. Hence was born the name "Chemistry". Instrumentation of piece predetermined for me the separation of music to three timbre and textural layers: timbre structure of low recorders and bass clarinet, unpitched environment of percussion instruments except glockenspiel, and soprano recorder, slide whistle and glockenspiel in their soaring mood. My work is an attempt of game of these layers, the transfer of some natural and strange at the same time interaction of these layers, which can not lead to any result or outcome, except as a query or some suspension points. For me, this is something both very necessary and understandable, and at the same time mysterious, perhaps this is something like that in real life is called chemistry. Chemical interactions, chemical relations, chemistry of events - this is what I tried to understand, when I wrote this music.
