Schimmel Collection copy has dated 20th-century manuscript inscription ("to my dear little Niece Florence from Aunt Gladys 1919") recording the gift of this volume to Florence May Pepperdine (later Crossley; 1908-1997) from her aunt Gertrude Gladys Baker (née Chorn; b. 1896) in brown ink on front free endpaper.
Schimmel Collection copy has color-illustrated figure of a girl in a dress (or petticoat?) excised from an unidentified publication laid in.
