- Schimmel Collection copy has illustrated bookplate of Esther Pepperdine (the name supplied in manuscript with manuscript note: "from Mother") on front free endpaper. The owner is Esther Louise Pepperdine (later Thurston; 1911-2002); "Mother" is Lena Rose Pepperdine (née Baker; 1888-1930).
