Summary:
Item is a mortage document on the property of Peter Traxler, signed on January 4th, 1731, to be paid in installments as ordered by the terms in the agreement. The document was also signed by Andrew Hamilton, as legal grantor, and Joseph Breintnall, as witness. The property was located in Makquongee, Philadelphia County (now, Macungee, Lehigh County). Also signed by Edward Roberts, Justice of the Peace, for the city and county of Philadelphia, same date.
Item is, approximately, evenly divided between printed (black ink) and hand-written (iron gall ink) information. Typeface used is pica type with italic script hand. Paper has vertical chainlines.
