Summary:
-- Contraportada
Notes:
" In retrospect, these pages can be taken as a preliminary (irreparably partial) exploration of Peruvian female dramaturgy; more specifically, as an essay on the body that integrates the works for adults of six authors born between the 1920s and 1960s. Two threads of examination are involved in this incursion: first, the identification and exposition of a dramatic resource, of the medium Favorite of each of the six for the fight or flight of its characters; second, the selection and development (for each work treated) of an inclination of human nature that informs about a relevant issue in the piece. From the framework (interlaced, interwoven) of this pair of strands, it is sought to arrive at revelations that provide new understanding to the field itself as well as to neighboring fields (literature, psychology, performing arts, among others). The ultimate hope is that a crossing of knowledge about our nature is the beginning of present and future ethical acts." -- Back cover
