- Summary:
- Account of the Passion, probably written after 1662 at the Carmelite monastery in Nieuwpoort, West Flanders. Written in Dutch, with marginal citations to Bible verses and historiated initials constructed from prints and further embellished. Bound later with a second gathering of later paper. Frater Adalbertus, who signed the manuscript in 1745, added a few Latin marginal annotations, a heading on a blank leaf for a list of Puncta moralia (f. 16r, possibly related to a few marginal annotations of Morale), and an epilogue in Dutch (f. 19v-20r).

- Collation: Paper, 20; 1¹⁵ (15 single?) 2⁵ (5 single); early foliation in ink, modern foliation in pencil, 1-6, [7], 8-13, [14], 15, [16-20], upper right recto.
- Layout: Written in 41-44 long lines; left and lower margins ruled in drypoint; a vertical fold through the middle of each leaf; biblical citations and later annotations written in the left margin; quarto format.
- Script: Written in Dutch secretary script (f. 1-15, 17th century) and Latin italic script and Dutch cursive script (f. 16-20 and some annotations on earlier leaves, circa 1745) by the hand of Frater Adalbertus.
- Decoration: 8 historiated initials constructed from prints, hand-colored, and embellished (D, Agony in the Garden, f. 1r; Q, Last Supper, f. 3r; D, Arrest at Gethsemane, f. 4v; G, Christ before the high priest Annas, f. 7r; D, Christ before Pontius Pilate, f. 10r; P, Flagellation of Christ, f. 11v; O, Mocking of Christ, f. 12r; D, Christ carrying the Cross, f. 14v); one small illustration (Crucifixion, f. 15r).
- Watermark: Pro Patria/Maid of Dort (f. 16-20).
- Binding: Later (18th-century) marbled paper over card with a pair of cloth ties, with the fore edge of the manuscript extending beyond the fore edge of the covers.
- Origin: Probably written in the Carmelite monastery in the town of Nieuwpoort in West Flanders between 1662 (establishment of the Nieuwpoort Carmelite community) and the end of the 17th century (Leo Cadogan Rare Books).
