"Title and colophon printed in red. Colored headpiece, first word of text and forty-five colored initials designed and illuminated by Valenti Angleo. Type Gothique Anicenne, handset; paper Van Gelder. Bound in marbled boards with tan cloth back; title in gold on back ... This edition of The book of Ruth must not be confused with the one in a larger format and double columns printed the previous year. However the type was not reset for this edition. The double columns of the first Book of Ruth were simply used in single column. Three copies were printed on vellum, with special illuminations, for the artist and the printers."--Heller.
