Summary:
Within the most famous work of Dante Alighieri there are many references to the Casentino Valley. Moreover, the Supreme Poet, who fought in Campaldino and stayed at the Castle of Poppi - where he wrote some pages of the Comedy - knew this area very well. This illustrated volume, a catalog of the exhibition set up in Poppi (Arezzo) from 16 July to 30 November 2021, examines the relationship between Dante and the Casentino area, in an excursus between literature and art history accompanied by a fascinating iconography.
