Biography/History:
Ajaya K. Sahoo is an Associate Professor and Head of the Centre for the Study of Indian Diaspora, University of Hyderabad, India. His recent publications include the Routledge Handbook of Indian Transnationalism (2019), the Routledge Handbook of the Indian Diaspora (2017), Indian Transnationalism Online (2014), Diaspora and Identity (2014), and Transnational Migrations (2009), all published by Routledge. He is also the Editor of the Journal of South Asian Diaspora (Taylor and Francis/Routledge).
Summary:
This handbook offers an analysis of Asian diaspora and development, and explores the role that immigrants living within diasporic and transnational communities play in the development of their host countries and their homeland.
