Summary:
This book deals with letters in Anglophone Canadian short stories of the late 20th and the early 21st century in the context of liminality. It argues that in the course of the epistolary renaissance of the past fifty years, the letter--which has often been deemed to be obsolete not only in everyday life but also in literature--has not only enjoyed an upsurge in Anglophone novels but also migrated to the short story thus constituting the genre of the epistolary short story.
