- Summary:
- This is a manuscript bifolium of a commentary to the teḳufot according to Adda bar Ahabah (3rd century Palestinian amora, student of Rav); teḳufot refers to the measurements (by season, divided to days, divisional hours and divisions of hours, and seconds) of time in each season according to the solar calendar. This manuscript contains a table counting the measured divisions of the year in 19 parts, with columns for every calculation mentioned in the explanatory text (ימים, שעות, חלקים, רגעים) for the year 5535 (1874-5; mentioned on f. 1v). Written in one column next to the table (f. 1r) and two columns of text (f. 1v); written in a Moroccan cursive script (table written in a Moroccan semicursive script in brown ink; f.1r). Item originated in Morocco or North Africa. Some staining and folds; outer edges deckle-edge.
