Summary:
This is a manuscript of verses selected for recitation prior and following the public blowing of the shofar in a specific Italian rite. The first six verses are commonly recited, and known for their acrostic formation of the letters קר"ע שט"נ (ḳeraʻ śaṭan, subdue Satan), and the verses following are themed on shofar and God's covenant with the Patriarchs; many of these verses are repeated again during the Amidah for Mussaf.

Layout: Written in 13 lines; frame-ruled in drypoint; ruled above each line of text (horizontals and verticals); pricking at all four margins. One catchword per side (f. 1r-v).
Script: Written in an Italian square script; verses vocalized.
Origin: Written in Italy during the second half of the 17th century.
