- Summary:
- This is a manuscript of verses selected for recitation prior and following the public blowing of the shofar in a specific Italian rite. The first six verses are commonly recited, and known for their acrostic formation of the letters קר"ע שט"נ (ḳeraʻ śaṭan, subdue Satan), and the verses following are themed on shofar and God's covenant with the Patriarchs; many of these verses are repeated again during the Amidah for Mussaf.
